BREAKING: Singdam vs Coakley for WBC Diamond title at YOKKAO 42

YOKKAO’s inaugural Ireland showcase has just confirmed its main event matchup and it is set to be one of the biggest fights in YOKKAO history. On 27 July, Thai legend, Singdam will battle it out with Ireland’s own Craig “Coco” Coakley for the highly-coveted WBC Diamond championship belt!

WBC first created the "Diamond Championship" belt in 2009 as a championship to award the winner of a historic fight between two high-profile fighters. To date, only 2 Muay Thai fighters have  the honour of holding the title and they are two of the biggest stars in the entire Muay Thai history: Buakaw Banchamek and living legend, Saenchai.

Come the night of 27 July, another fighter will be honored with the distinguished Diamond championship belt. Either way it goes, we expect this to be an explosive fight like never before.

Irish knockout extraordinaire, Craig Coakley has built a reputation as one of the region’s most exciting Nak Muays. Over the last few years, Coakley has racked up a series of stunning KO victories on YOKKAO UK shows, sealing his place as the man to watch for in the promotion. Returning to his homeland to headline YOKKAO 42, Coakley is set for the fight of his life as he goes toe to toe against Singdam.

In an illustrious career spanning 26 years and 343 fights, Singdam has achieved many of the sport’s top accolades including Lumpinee stadium titles and the prestigious Fighter of the Year awards. The one artefact missing in Singdam’s collection would be the distinguished green WBC belt. With double the stakes, the Black Lion is expected to go into the battle fighting tooth and nail for the diamond around his waist.

Singdam and Coakley will be joined by the region’s best and upcoming fighters at YOKKAO 41 - 42. The double event will be held at the National Basketball Arena in Tymon Park.

Join us on 27 July as we witness the historical crowning of a new WBC Muay Thai Diamond champion in Dublin, Ireland. Tickets for YOKKAO 41 - 42 are on sale now at https://www.yokkao.com/events/yokkao-41-42-dublin/
