BREAKING: Superbank to Headline YOKKAO 40 in Sydney!
YOKKAO 39 - 40 is shaping to be one of the most stellar cards in the Australian Muay Thai scene to date and it’s about to get even more impressive. Former Lumpinee and Rajadamnern champion, Superbank Mor Rattanabandit has just been confirmed to headline the coming show in Sydney!
Superbank has stepped up on less than a month's notice to replace Manachai who had to pull out due to the KO loss at Lumpinee stadium. After an exciting promotional debut at YOKKAO 37 in Bolton UK, Superbank will now make his second fight appearance for our promotion in Sydney. The Thai phenom is widely regarded as one of the ring technicians among his generation of fighters, particularly for his slick sweeps and flawless timing. He will take on up-and-coming Australian fighter, Zac Einersen for the YOKKAO 40 main event.
Fighting out of Perth’s Riddlers Gym, Einersen is a 2-time WMC state champion and WKA national champion. The 24-year-old has competed regularly in Thailand, winning recently against a high-level Thai opponent at the prestigious Lumpinee stadium. Einersen will now face a full-fledged elite Thai champion in the fight of his career at YOKKAO 40.
Along with Superbank vs Einersen, other confirmed bouts include Singdam vs Alexi Petroulias, and Spencer vs Albert Xavier. Look out for an updated fight card which will be released tomorrow.
Organized in partnership with SRG promotions, YOKKAO 39 - 40 is set to take place at the Australian Technology Park on Saturday, 25 May. Tickets are already on sale now. For more info, visit www.yokkao.com/events/yokkao-39-40-sydney/
