YOKKAO 35: Yodchai Gets WBC Title Shot Against Astarita!
A third title bout has now been confirmed and added to YOKKAO 35 - 36 taking place on 26 January 2019. The previously announced fight between Yodchai from YOKKAO Fight Team and Jonathan Astarita from Italy will now be an official WBC Lightweight Intercontinental title match. Yodchai has built a reputation as a highly exciting fighter to watch in the ring, with a string of outstanding performances over the past 2 years in both domestic and international competitions.
Fighting since the age of 8, it’s now his time to shine as the 23 year-old finally gets his major title shot at the coming YOKKAO 35 Italian showdown. Astarita is himself a Muay Thai and K1 Italy champion. Like Yodchai, the 29 year-old Italian fighter is known for his technical ring style with skillful sweeps to rival the best. It’s a clash of skills and power with both fighters looking for a strong finish at YOKKAO 35. It’s all or nothing, as only one will make it home with the WBC gold.
Two other exciting title brawls are on the YOKKAO 35 - 36 card: Manachai will take on Luca Falco for the WMC Intercontinental title, and Spencer Brown clashes against Luca Roma in the WBC Super-Lightweight European title face-off. With 3 championship belts on the line and a star-studded card featuring Saenchai, Singdam, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee and Liam Harrison, YOKKAO 35 - 36 is packing the heat.
The double event will take place on 26 January 2019 at the PalaRuffini arena in Turin Italy. Tickets are now on sale at TicketOne via sport.ticketone.it/43196/90600704/thai-boxe-mania-presenta-yokkao-35-36.Â
