Sakaengam Jitmuangnon Joins the YOKKAO Fight Team
Following Rodtang and Nuenglanlek, we are proud to announce the third fighter from the famous Jitmuangnon Gym to come onboard the YOKKAO Fight Team. 20-year-old Sakaengam Jitmuangnon completes the trio of new additions to the YOKKAO family.
Sakaengam is an up-and-coming elite stadium fighter making his way up the elite circuit. Like his campmate, Rodtang, Sakaengam is an aggressive forward-moving fighter with hard-hitting punches and heart.
He is an exciting fan-favorite who is always entertaining to watch in the ring. The Muay Mat fighter goes all-out in every fight, bringing the war and making a statement with each performance.
YOKKAO founder, Philip Villa explains his decision on signing Sakaengam,
“I have always believed in supporting upcoming talents. I like how Sakaengam embraces the true values of a fighter with his heart. Giving him the opportunity to be part of our Team will help encourage him to achieve his dreams and boost his performance. Being well balanced, motivated and dedicated is the key to success in this sport.”
Sakaengam comes from Phetchabun province in North-central Thailand. Like many Thai boxers, he turned to fighting to help ease his family’s financial situation. He had his first fight at the age of 10 weighing at just 32kg winning a prize money of 300 baht.
In 2014, Sakaengam arrived at the Jitmuangnon camp, known for being one of the hardest gyms and a reputable champion factory. Since he moved to the camp, Sagaengam worked even harder training alongside his teammates like Rodtang and Nuenglanlek.
The efforts paid off as he came into prominence when he earned the “Fight of the Year” at Channel 7 stadium in 2016. He was also voted as the best fighter of Channel 7 by fans for the same year.
In 2018, Sakaengam won the Omnoi Stadium 105lbs championship belt. His most recent achievement came in August 2020 when he won the Omnoi Stadium Mabin tournament, bagging a 600,000 Baht prize.
Expect to see more of Sakaengam in the days ahead as we support him on his journey.
