YOKKAO 51 Goes Down August 8 in Brisbane

On August 8, 2026, YOKKAO makes its long-awaited return to the global events stage with YOKKAO 51, live from Nissan Arena in Brisbane, Australia.

Presented in partnership with MTL Australia, the landmark event will bring together elite fighters from Thailand, Australia and beyond for a night of world-class Muay Thai featuring two inaugural YOKKAO World Championships, an international WBC title rematch and an explosive fight card.

YOKKAO 51 represents more than the return of a major international event. It marks the beginning of a new global chapter for YOKKAO, with further events already scheduled across the United Kingdom and new partnerships established in Spain, France and the Netherlands.

Songpayak and Matty Clarke Make History

In the main event, rising Thai star Songpayak takes on Australian standout Matty Clarke for the inaugural YOKKAO Featherweight World Championship.

Songpayak enters the contest with more than 80 professional fights and 75 victories. Recognized as Best Young Talent in both 2022 and 2023, he has established himself as one of the most exciting fighters of Thailand’s new generation.

Two elite young fighters will meet for one historic belt in a contest that brings together Thailand’s Muay Thai tradition and Australia’s rapidly growing fight scene.

The First YOKKAO Female World Championship

YOKKAO 51 will also make history by crowning the first-ever YOKKAO Female Super Bantamweight World Champion.

Thailand’s Somratsamee, representing YOKKAO Training Center Chiang Mai, will face Australia’s Bryony Soden of Strikeforce Gym in a five-round World Championship contest.

Somratsamee is one of the most decorated female Muay Thai fighters in the world and became the first-ever female Rajadamnern Stadium World Champion. Her experience, technical ability and championship pedigree have established her among the leading athletes in the sport.

Former WBC International Champion Bryony Soden will enter the fight with the opportunity to make history in front of her home crowd. The Australian brings her own championship experience and an aggressive style into a contest that promises to be one of the defining fights of the evening.

Only one of them can leave Brisbane as the inaugural YOKKAO Female Super Bantamweight World Champion.

Aiulu vs Wasylak: The Rematch

Jonathan Aiulu and Quinn Wasylak will return to the ring in a highly anticipated rematch for the vacant WBC Super Welterweight International Title.
Their first meeting in Canada ended in controversy, leaving both fighters with unfinished business and the determination to settle the rivalry decisively.
This time, an international championship is at stake. Neither fighter intends to leave the outcome in doubt, setting the stage for an intense rematch in Brisbane.

The Beginning of YOKKAO’s New International Era

YOKKAO 51 is the first major step in YOKKAO’s renewed international event schedule.

Following Brisbane, YOKKAO will return to the United Kingdom for YOKKAO 52 on September 12, 2026, before making its first appearance in London with YOKKAO 53 on October 24, 2026.

The expansion will continue across Europe following the signing of new event partnerships in Spain, France and the Netherlands. Together, these events form part of YOKKAO’s wider mission to grow Muay Thai internationally, create new opportunities for fighters and connect the global Muay Thai community through elite competition and original digital content.
